Most radio fence packages do not just come with a manual but also a training booklet that provides instructions on how to train your pet.
The first few days are involved with the familiarization of the boundary and the flags. Together with their owners, they will then try to cross the boundary but will also walk back into the play area due to the warning sound. That part can be skipped, so the dog can experience the static. Rewards must be given, though, when they return to the play area. In less than a month, expect your dog to remain in the area even without the receiver.
